The American Hockey Coaches Association has announced the finalists for this year's Spencer Penrose Award given annually to the top coach in college hockey that season.
This year's finalists include two ECAC coaches, two WCHA coaches and one coach each from Hockey East, CCHA and Atlantic Hockey. The only past winner to be among the finalists this season is Miami coach Enrico Blasi who was the 2006 winner. To be selected as a finalist, a coach must either win their conference's coach of the year award or coach a team that qualified for the Frozen Four.
