The list of 10 Hobey Baker finalists has been cut down to the three finalists, with the winner announced a week from Friday at the Frozen Four.

The three finalists are: St. Cloud 5th year senior forward Drew LeBlanc, Boston College sophomore forward Johnny Gaudreau, and Quinnipiac senior goalie Eric Hartzell. LeBlanc and Hartzell will both be in Pittsburgh competing in the Frozen Four, as well.

St. Cloud's LeBlanc was the winner of the Hobey Baker fan vote, which accounts for a very, very small percentage of the final vote. If Hartzell were to win the award, he would become just the third goalie in history to take home the award, following Minnesota's Robb Stauber and Michigan State's Ryan Miller. Neither St. Cloud nor Quinnipiac has ever had a Hobey Baker winner before, while Boston College has had two(David Emma and Mike Mottau). LeBlanc joins Mark Hartigan as the only St. Cloud player to make the Hobey Hat Trick.
