Two more Hockey East players will not be returning to their respective programs for the 2013-14 season, it was discovered over the weekend.
Northeastern sophomore defenseman Dan Cornell will not return to the Huskies program. The Abington, Mass. native played in 28 games this year notching just one assist.
UMass-Amherst junior forward Eric Filliou will not be back with the Minuteman program. The Vaudreuil, Que. native played in just 16 games for John Micheletto's team this year. He was a healthy scratch for the last 11 games of the season.
Filliou joins freshman forward K.J. Tiefenwerth, sophomore goaltender Kevin Boyle and junior forward Rob Dongara who will not be back with UMass next season. A source close to the program suggested there could be more cuts before next fall.
