UMass-Lowell advances to Frozen Four with 2-0 win over UNH

UMass-Lowell advanced to the Frozen Four in Pittsburgh thanks to a 2-0 win over New Hampshire at the Northeast Regional Final in Manchester, NH.

Scott Wilson tallied a goal late in the second period and Adam Chapie added an insurance goal in the third period to give UMass-Lowell a 2-0 win over New Hampshire. The River Hawks advance to the Frozen Four in Pittsburgh for the first time in school history.

UMass-Lowell freshman goaltender Connor Hellebuyck was named the Most Valuable Player of the Northeast Regional. UMass-Lowell forwards Scott Wilson and Adam Chapie and defenseman Chad Ruhwedel were named to the all-tournament team. Senior forward John Henrion and defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk were the UNH representatives on the all-tournament team.
