Lake Superior sophomore forward Buddy Robinson has signed a three year contract with the Ottawa Senators, according to Uptown Sports, who represents Robinson. Robinson is originally from Bellmawr, New Jersey, but played his junior hockey in the Ottawa suburb of Nepean.
Robinson is the second Laker so far this offseason to leave school early for a free agent contract after teammate Kellen Lain signed a free agent deal with the Vancouver Canucks last week. Like Lain, Robinson is a huge forward, standing at 6-5 236 lbs. He had identical stats to Lain as well, notching 8 goals and 8 assists on the season.
