Terriers, Riverhawks scoreless after one period in Hockey East Finals

UMass-Lowell and Boston University traded chances, but neither team converted in the opening period.

Boston University and UMass-Lowell are scoreless after one period of play in the Hockey East Championship game at the TD Garden. The Terriers outshot the Riverhawks 8-6. Boston University freshman Danny O'Regan took the only penalty in the period.
