Boston University erased a two-goal deficit in a span of just 2:04 and then took the lead on the power play shortly after that to give the Terriers a 3-2 lead after 40 minutes of play here at the TD Garden in the second Hockey East Semifinal.

Evan Rodrigues fired a wrist shot past Boston College senior goaltender Parker Milner at the 12:17 mark of the second period to cut the BC lead in half. Patrick MacGregor picked up the helper.

Shortly after that, Matt Lane took a lead pass down the left side and cut in the middle where he backhanded the puck past Milner on the breakaway. The goal tied the game at 2.

On an ensuing power play, Boston University took a 3-2 lead at the 17:59 mark when Garrett Noonan fired a one-timer from the right side past Milner. The junior had missed the past three games with an injury. Freshman Matt Grzelcyk set him up with a nice feed from the point.

Earlier in the period, at the 8:46 mark, BC had extended its lead with a Quinn Smith tip-in goal. Pat Mullane and Patrick Brown picked up the assists.

Boston College holds a commanding lead in the shots on goal category. The Eagles are outshooting BU 31-16.
