ECAC Semifinal: Brown Bears upset Quinnipiac 4-0

Despite being shutout 4-0 in the ECAC Semifinals, Quinnipiac is still destined for its second NCAA Tournament appearance.

Quinnipiac, the top seed in the ECAC Hockey Tournament and the number one ranked team in the Pairwise, was shutout by Brown 4-0 in Atlantic City, NJ Friday afternoon.

Sophomore forward Matt Lorito scored twice for the Bears as they upset the Bobcats. The Oakville, Ontario native now has 22 goals on the year. Senior goaltender Anthony Borelli made 29 saves for Brendan Whittet's team.

Quinnipiac senior goaltender Eric Hartzell let in four goals on 23 shots. The Hobey Baker Award Finalist chose a bad time to have one of his worst outings of the year.

Brown will move on to the finals where it will face the winner of tonight's second semifinal between Yale and Union. The Bobcats will still likely be a number one seed in the Providence regional set to start next Saturday at the Dunkin Donuts Center.
