Gophers Hockey: Minnesota vs. Denver Saturday night (3/2/13) line combinations

Minnesota has made multiple changes following a 2-0 loss Friday. Denver, meanwhile, is switching goaltenders as Sam Brittain gets the nod over Juho Olkinuora.

A night after a performance that redshirt junior Zach Budish (Nashville Predators draft pick) said was, "from top to bottom we just weren't good," Minnesota is making some changes. Budish drops from the top line to play with Sam Warning and Erik Haula while Christian Isackson (Buffalo Sabres) jumps up to the top line with Kyle Rau and Nick Bjugstad (Florida Panthers).

The changes were initially more drastic with Rau and Bjugstad split up. However, Gophers head coach Don Lucia revised his earlier plans before warmups.

Defenseman Jake Parenteau also is in the lineup after being held out of Friday's game. He replaces Brady Skjei (New York Rangers).

Denver, meanwhile, is making only one change from last night as junior Sam Brittain gets the nod in net. Brittain has big shoes to fill following a 33 save shutout from Juho Olkinuora (the first shutout of Minnesota in almost two years), but is no stranger to the Gophers. He has a 3-1 record against them, including 2 wins against them last year.
