Hockey East Saturday: BC, BU back to the Garden
Boston College and Boston University punched their tickets to the Hockey East semifinals next Friday night at TD Garden and will meet each other in the late game. With a 4-1 win, UNH forced a Sunday afternoon Game 3.

UMass-Lowell advances in Hockey East Tournament
UMass-Lowell is moving on to the TD Garden for the Hockey East semifinals for the first time since 2009. Meanwhile, Maine will miss the NCAA Tournament for the fifth time in six seasons. The River Hawks are poised to make a deep run in the playoffs.

With a 2-1 overtime victory over Maine on Friday, UMass Lowell punched its ticket to the TD Garden for the Hockey East semifinals. BU, Providence and BC each earned opening night quarterfinal victories.

New Hampshrie Wildcats travel to face Providence Friars in the Hockey East quarterfinals series. UNH Sophomore Casey DeSmith and PC freshman Jon Gillies are two of the best young goaltenders in all of college hockey. PC went 2-0-1 vs UNH during year.

Hockey East Quarterfinals: Lowell takes opener
The River Hawks went down by a goal in the first period, but responded for four of the next five goals in a 4-2 win on Thursday night over Maine at the Tsongas Center. With the win, UML leads the best-of-three quarterfinal series, 1-0.
