One night after losing to Minnesota, St. Cloud bounced back and knocked off the No. 1 ranked Gophers, 4-3, at the National Hockey Center Saturday night.
The Gophers out-shot, and out-chanced the Huskies, but goaltender Ryan Faragher stood tall despite a furious third period come back from top ranked Minnesota.
With Saturday's win, the Huskies maintain their lead at the top of the WCHA. St. Cloud leads North Dakota by three points, and Minnesota by five, although the Gophers have two games in hand on the Huskies.
Here are the post-game comments from St. Cloud head coach Bob Motzko, and defenseman Kevin Gravel.
