USA Hockey announced this afternoon the addition of Notre Dame forward Vince Hinostroza, Minnesota State forward Zach Stepan, and Colorado College defenseman Jaccob Slavin to their roster for next year's World Junior camp.
The three additions brings the US camp roster up to 29 players, meaning six players from the roster--two defensemen, four forwards--will be cut before tournament play begins in Malmo, Sweden after Christmas. The original list of 26 players invited to the camp can be found here.
All three new additions are talented players that have missed time in the first part of the season due to injury. Now that they are healthy, they'll have an opportunity to earn a roster spot for the tournament.
Camp for the US World Junior team begins next Sunday at Mariucci Arena, and will run through December 18th, before the team departs for the tournament in Sweden.
