The 6-foot-2, 172 pound defenseman from Appleton, Wisconsin will be a very beneficial addition to Michigan Tech's blue-liners.
This past fall in the Upper Midwest High School Elite League, the Appleton North senior recorded five goals and seven assists for 12 points in 24 games as a member of Team Wisconsin, who fell to Team Southwest in this year's championship game.
Very excited to announce that I have committed to play hockey at Michigan Tech University #MTU #Huskies

Watson was drafted in the 9th round of the 2013 USHL Entry Draft by the Waterloo Black Hawks but looks to be rostered as a member of Appleton United this winter. He also made the NHL CSS Preliminary Players to watch in November, among a few other Wisconsinites.
Michigan Tech has found some luck digging into the Elite League, as Mitch Reinke (Stillwater, MN) and Travis Brown (Rogers, MN) both participated this past season as defensemen.
Enjoy,
