Minnesota (9-1-1, 0-0-0 Big Ten) and Minnesota-Duluth (5-5-1, 2-2-0 NCHC) had an extra day to let Friday's 6-1 Gophers win sink in a bit before the second game of a non-conference series at Mariucci Arena. Both teams are making the most of that day off by making a few changes in the lineup.

The Gophers are keeping both freshmen defensemen - Jake Bischoff (New York Islanders) and Michael Brodzinski (San Jose Sharks) in the lineup for an entire series for the first time this season. Instead, Justin Holl (Chicago Blackhawks) will sit. Holl played Friday while Jake Parenteau, in today, was the odd man out on the blue line.

On the fourth line, Gophers head coach Don Lucia has switched out Gabe Guertler and A.J. Michaelson for Connor Reilly and Christian Isackson (Buffalo Sabres).

Minnesota-Duluth is making three changes and all of them are on defense, which makes sense given the Bulldogs gave up six goals to Minnesota on Friday. Freshmen defensmen Carson Soucy (Minnesota Wild) and Dan Molenaar both start on the blue line in place of Willie Corrin Luke McManus and Derik Johnson.

Matt McNelly, meanwhile, starts in goal for Minnesota-Duluth. The 6'3" sophomore finished Friday for the Bulldogs, replacing Aaron Crandall after he gave up five goals, and gets another chance in net.

Adam Wilcox gets the nod for Minnesota.
