Lowell, Mass. -- Three power play goals propelled UMass-Lowell past Notre Dame, 3-1, on Saturday afternoon at Tsongas Arena. Zack Kamrass, Michael Kapla and Joe Pendenza scored goals on the man-advantage as the River Hawks swept the series from the Fighting Irish. Connor Hellebuyck stopped 34 of 35 shots he faced to hold Notre Dame to just one goal on the entire weekend.
Bryan Rust scored the lone goal of the weekend for Notre Dame on the power play in the second period. Steven Summerhays made 31 saves in the losing effort for the Fighting Irish.
