It should come as no surprise to fans of college hockey that Notre Dame, North Dakota and Boston College have the most representation of any college hockey programs on the NHL Central Scouting Service's Preliminary Watch List for November. 30 schools in total have at least one player or recruit listed. Boston College and Michigan each have two of the eight current players listed.

There are several high profiled college recruits that are on the NHL Central Scouting Service Preliminary Watch List, including North Dakota recruit Nick Schmaltz. He is a phenomenal player that has showcased his skill on more than one occasion, including at international tournaments and for the Green Bay Gamblers in the USHL. Notre Dame recruits Sonny Milano and Anders Bjork are also high on the list. Michigan recruit Dylan Larkin, Milano and Schmaltz are the only players listed as "A" prospects.
