Hockey East Friday Night Recap
Notre Dame shut out Merrimack, 4-0, in the first home Hockey East game ever played in South Bend. New Hampshire shut out Northeastern, 3-0, at Matthews Arena. Providence received two goals from Ross Mauermann as the Friars beat UVM, 3-2.

Johnny Gaudreau and Kevin Hayes scored goals for Boston College as the Eagles rallied from a 1-0 deficit to defeat UMass on Thursday night at the Mullins Center in Amherst. A controversial overturned goal call in the third period kept BC ahead.
