Gophers Hockey: Minnesota vs. Boston College Sunday line combinations

Jake Parenteau is sitting out for Minnesota after leaving. Boston College, meanwhile, is going with Brian Billett in goal over Thatcher Demko.

Although University of Minnesota head coach Don Lucia said after Friday's game that he hoped senior defenseman Jake Parenteau would be ready to play Sunday, it doesn't appear that's the case.

Parenteau was injured in the first period of Friday night's 3-3 tie when he went hard into the Gopher goal. He laid motionless on the ice for a minute before being helped off by Minnesota personnel. The Gophers spent the rest of the game playing with five defensemen.

"I thought our five [defensemen] did a good job. In that situation you can't hide anybody from their guys," Lucia said.

Jake Bischoff is playing in place of Parenteau, making this the first time both freshmen blue liners (Bischoff and Michael Brodzinski) have played in the same game.

Boston College, meanwhile, is starting junior Brian Billett in goal. Freshman Thatcher Demko got the start Friday and earned half a belt with defenseman Ian McCoshen for saving Taylor Cammarata's overtime breakaway (Jerry York and BC give guys a belt if they make a breakaway save), but will sit in the finale. The two Eagles goalies have split time so far this season.

Minnesota is starting Adam Wilcox in goal. Other changes from Friday include junior Christian Isackson playing for the Gophers in place of A.J. Michaelson and BC freshman Evan Richardson replacing Chris Calnan. Ryan Reilly is listed as an extra skater for the Gophers.
