This weekend's slate of televised games include a pair of top-15 match-ups and the number one team in action in its first conference game.
The National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) opens its first-ever weekend of conference play with a doubleheader on CBS Sports Network today (October 18). That includes the unofficial college hockey game of the week as #1 Miami hosts #6 North Dakota in Oxford, OH beginning at 7:00 p.m. EST.
The Red Hawks are coming off of a dominating sweep of Ohio State where Riley Barber (Washington Capitals) and Austin Czarnik combined for 6 goals and 12 points. North Dakota, meanwhile, defeated Vermont 5-2 to open the season with a victory at home before tying the Catamounts 2-2. Rocco Grimaldi (Florida Panthers) opened his redshirt sophomore season in style by scoring five points (2G-3A) for UND.
After the two top-ten teams play, conference mates #20 Minnesota-Duluth takes on Colorado College at World Arena in Colorado Springs beginning at 9:30 p.m. ET.
