Ohio State scored midway through the third period to tie the game.Brady Hjelle had a solid game, allowing only one goal on over 30 shots.

Notre Dame 4 Minnesota-Duluth 1

Notre Dame comes back to earn a split after losing to the Bulldogs on Thursday night. It sounds like turnovers were the big problem for Duluth. The Irish have struggled to score so far this year, so far this year, but finally broke out with four goals against a pretty good team. Notre Dame also got 33 saves from Steve Summerhays.

Western Michigan 3 Canisius 0

Mike Cichy had a second consecutive multi-point game, and is the early front-runner for comeback player of the year. He's showing some of the potential that made him such a big recruit for North Dakota.

Michigan 6 Bentley 3

Bentley actually gave Michigan a bit of a scare, leading 2-1 early in the second period, but Michigan fired 56 shots on goal, and just had too much depth for the Eagles.

Michigan Tech 5 Minnesota 3

Game recap here

Ferris State 7 Mercyhurst 3

It was a fun celebration in Big Rapids tonight, as the Bulldogs celebrated their historic season last year, and dominated Mercyhurst, taking a 6-1 lead in the second period, and cruising to an easy win.

Minnesota State 3 RPI 3

Minnesota State scored two goals in the second half of the third period to comeback and earn a tie. In a game that drew a pretty big crowd for their opener, those two goals may have meant more than just a non-conference tie, since the Mavericks looked pretty dreadful through the first 50 minutes.

Nebraska-Omaha 5 Northern Michigan 2

Nebraska-Omaha jumped on Northern Michigan early and cruised to a victory in a game that was never really in much doubt. Things got pretty chippy late in the third period, which should add spice to tomorrow's rematch.

St. Cloud 8 Alabama-Huntsville 3

Just way too much firepower from the Huskies in this one.

Lake Superior 2 Bemidji State 0

Game recap here. This one was not a beauty contest.

Miami 1 Providence 1

Not much difference between these two pretty solid teams. Providence's two big recruits are living up to their hype earlier than they expected. Mank Jankowski picked up an assist on Providence's only goal, and Jon Gillies added another 27 saves to only one goal allowed to his impressive totals.
