NAHL Showcase: '91 Birthdates

This age group covers a pretty broad spectrum, from NAHL vets, to players just starting out in the league, to players still playing Midget hockey, that may be taking that jump next year.

Standard disclaimer: It's a big tournament and I'm sure I missed a few very good players.Nothing personal if you think I've missed a certain player. I'm just pointing out a few players I noticed.

You can view the list of '91 birthdates after the jump.

Sean O'Rouke-D-Fairbanks Ice Dogs(NAHL)-Good skater and a really solid defenseman.

Nolan Youngmun-F-Wenatchee Wild(NAHL)-He's always been a fast kid. Now he's starting to fill out and really become a good player. He could be this year's version of Nic Dowd.

Jack Prince-F-Texas Tornado(NAHL)-Big forward from England that is the top forward on Texas' team.

Dan Radke-F-Traverse City North Stars(NAHL)(Lake Superior commit): Pretty good offensive skills.

Pete Spratte-D-Fairbanks Ice Dogs(NAHL)-I was really impressed with how well he played for being straight out of MN high school.

Kellin Ainsworth-F-Traverse City North Stars(NAHL)(Lake Superior commit)-Good hands. Needs to fill out a little bit and adjust to the more physical play.

Jake Lynes-F-Team Maryland(U18)-Smart all-around hockey player that knows how to score. Could really be a force if he adds a little more strength.

Alexander Betts-F-Carolina Jr. Hurricanes(U18)-Big forward that was fast and impressive in NAPHL All-Star game. Looked like he could step right in to the NAHL.

Ray Stenehjem-D-Alaska Avalance(NAHL)-Not a very flashy player, but a very steady performer.

Jordan Bancroft-F-Janesville Jets(NAHL)-A pretty skilled kid that's worth keeping an eye on.

Joe Adams-D-Texas Tornado(NAHL)-Not really polished, but a big defenseman that looks like he could have really good upside.

Ryan Weston-D-North Iowa Outlaws(NAHL)-Solid defensive defenseman

Nate Heng-F-Marquette Rangers(NAHL)(Nebraska-Omaha commit)-Good hands, but he needs to adjust to the speed and physicality of the NAHL game. He only dressed in two games.

Troy Shannon-D-San Jose Jr. Sharks(U18)-Big guy that could possibility play Jr. A hockey next year.

Jacob Stafford-G-Texas Tornado(U18)-Very quick goalie for his size.
