Fall classes started today at St. Cloud State and they did so without Jase Weslosky, who failed to become eligible and will likely transfer to another school. Weslosky struggled with academics at St. Cloud and was close to being ineligible a couple times in his career.
The loss isn't as devastating with highly-touted freshman Mike Lee joining the Huskies this year, and alleviates some concerns about finding ice time for the three NHL draft pick goalies projected to be on St. Cloud's roster. In the linked article, St. Cloud head coach Bob Motzko alluded to the fact that Dan Dunn wasn't excited about the possibility of being relegated to third string, and now, at worst he'll be a back-up to Lee and get some game time when Lee is with the US World Junior team this winter.
