Notre Dame beat Northern Michigan 2-1 in the CCHA's first semifinal game.
The win guarantees that Notre Dame will finish ahead of Michigan in the PWR, and thus, Notre Dame will likely be the number one seed in the Grand Rapids regional for the NCAA tournament.
A few bubble teams can breath a little easier too, now that one potential team that could steal a tournament bid in Northern Michigan, is now out of the NCAA tournament.
