Shane Frederick of the Mankato Free Press is reporting that Minnesota State head coach Troy Jutting will be signing a four-year contract extension this summer.
Jutting received a one-time two-year contract extension after the 2006-2007 season. Because of the number of years he has been at Minnesota State and state university regulations, his next contract will have to be at least a four-year extension.
During the two-year period of his contract, he compiled a 34-33-10 record, and won the WCHA Coach of the Year Award last season, though Minnesota State fell short of some people's expectations this season with an 8th place WCHA finish this year.
