The ten finalists for Minnesota's Mr. Hockey Award have been announced. The finalists are as follows:
Dan DeLisle, Totino Grace(Minnesota-Duluth)
Marshall Everson, Edina (Harvard)
Ben Hanowski, Little Falls(St. Cloud)
Tyler Lapic, New Prague(Wisconsin)
Nick Leddy, Eden Prairie(Minnesota)
Anders Lee, Edina(Notre Dame)
Danny Matson, Holy Angels(North Dakota)
Zach Palmquist, South St. Paul(Minnesota State)
Tyler Pilick, Centennial(Minnesota State)
Max Tardy, Duluth East(Minnesota-Duluth)
A pretty solid list. I'm guessing that this is the first time all ten candidates have a college commitment in place this early.
Bloomington Jefferson's Casey O'Connor given the Frank Brimsek Award, given to the state's top goaltender. O'Connor had impressive numbers, though he didn't see that many shots on the season. Duluth East's Matt Cooper also had really good numbers, and Alexandria's Matt Hemingway might be the most talented senior goalie, but O'Connor was a nice choice.
