Heads up on most of these came from here.
South St. Paul goalie Adam Wilcox committed to Minnesota. Wilcox is the cousin of former UMD netminder Alex Stalock and is somewhat similiar in style. Both are extremely athletic and love to wander from their crease. I talked a little about Wilcox here after watching him play Hill-Murray last year. Wilcox is definitely one of the best in the state, and has a while before he gets to Minnesota, but it still likes a gamble committing to a goalie straight out of high school. Both of their current goalies were stars in high school, but Minnesota waited until they saw how they played in the USHL before committing to them, and that has seemed to work out pretty well.
Justin Crandall of St. Thomas Academy committed to Minnesota-Duluth. His older brother Aaron is the third-string goalie at UMD. Crandall had a fantastic Elite League season playing alongside future UMD teammate Caleb Herbert.
Alberta forward Dennis Rix committed to Michigan Tech. Rix is an older player that is tearing up the AJHL this year.
Bemidji continues to build their first WCHA team. They picked up commitments from USHL vet Radislav Illo, and NAHL foward Jeff Jubinville, who is off to a great start with the Wenatchee Wild.
