Cedar Rapids defenseman Bryce Aneloski committed to Nebraska-Omaha. Aneloski played one semester at Providence last season, before returning to the USHL. His play has really taken off so far this season, especially on the offensive end of the ice. Currently, he's actually tied for the league lead in scoring, but a 6-point game against the NTDP padded his stats a little bit.
USHR was the first of a couple different sources to report that another Cedar Rapids player, forward Sam Warning committed to Minnesota for the 2011 season. Warning played in St. Louis last season and was picked for the US Select team this past summer. Two years from now, there will be quite a Missouri influence in the WCHA with Warning at Minnesota, Scott Mayfield at Denver, and Michael Parks at North Dakota.
Cornell picked up a commitment from NTDP U17 forward Cole Bardreau. Commitments have been slow coming out of the U17s this year, in part because they're getting pounded on a nightly basis in the USHL this year. But Bardreau is a hard worker that should be a nice fit for the Big Red.
