Michigan will be in search for a new athletic director, after current AD Bill Martin retires in September. That could be a big decision from a hockey standpoint because it's sounding like I've greatly underestimated the Big Ten Network's insistence on ruining--or at least greatly shaking up--college hockey. So, you know, if MIchigan hires a bald ex-football coach whose son once microwaved a live bird, we could be in some trouble.

Also, Miami athletic director Brad Bates is a Michigan alum and from Port Huron, Michigan. He should be a solid candidate for the job.

Duluth will have to adjust to playing on a bigger rink this weekend.

Joe Colborne is doubtful for this weekend's series against Minnesota, and with Denver leaving early, and limited in the players they can take, I'd guess he sits this one out, but it sounds like his finger injury won't keep him out too long.
