As per usual, Chris Heisenberg does all the heavy lifting...
For the second time this fall, Nebraska-Omaha picked up a '93 born player out of British Columbia. This time it's tiny Steve Iacobellis, who was a top player on the very good Northwest Giants Midget team. (Yes, giant midgets is an oxymoron) Who knows how this experiment will work. With the Mavericks moving to the WCHA, they may have to take some gambles in some less traditional routes to build their team. New Hampshire has been a team that has had some success gambling on some kids out in British Columbia and ended up with some talented players lately.
Goalie Wyatt Galley is headed to Bowling Green. It's no surprise since his dad Garry was a star at Bowling Green before going on to an excellent NHL career.
Woodbury HS forward Max Gaede committed to Minnesota State. The Mavericks should be entertaining to watch in the upcoming years when they start dressing 18 forwards every night.
And Matt Nieto, a high-scoring forward from the NTDP U18 team committed to Boston University.
