Quick Career At Michigan

It's being reported that Michigan defenseman Kevin Quick is no longer a member of Michigan's hockey team, after a violation of team rules. Obviously it must have been a pretty serious violation for him to receive the axe so quickly.

Quick wasn't a huge contributor to Michigan's team this year, but was expected to be in future years. He was a 3rd round selection of the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Quick was picked last summer by the Sarnia Sting of the OHL. I'm not sure if they still have his rights, and I'm pretty sure the deadline has passed for OHL teams to add players, so I'm not sure where he'll play for the rest of the season. I'm sure one of the multiple OHL-employee commenters here can fill us in.
