Michigan forward Andrew Cogliano has signed with the Edmonton Oilers.
After a fairly non-descript freshman season, Cogliano emerged as one of the better forwards in the CCHA this year. The Oilers had a rough season this past year, and bringing in someone who is already pretty well-known around Canada thanks to his two World Juniors gold medals should probably give them a nice boost.
This is the second underclassmen that Michigan has lost this summer, after Jack Johnson turned pro once the college season ended. Cogliano's departure leaves Michigan extremely thin at the center position for next season.
