Catching Up

The Hobey Baker race is starting to gain attention now that we're in the second half of the season. INCH has their Hobey Tracker.

CSTV also has their Hobey Watch. It's a good list and I'm not going to get up....BRANDON FREAKING WONG!!?? C'mon, now you're just throwing names on there to mess with me.

Here's a chance to educate yourself about a legitimate Hobey candidate.

For what it's worth, if I had a vote, my ballot right now would probably be: 1. Alex Goligoski 2. David Brown 3. Nathan Davis

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch had a great article about Red Berenson. It's also nice to see them already promoting this year's Frozen Four a couple months in advance. Not that they'll have any problem selling out the building, but it's always nice when there's a buzz around town for the event.

Minnesota coach Don Lucia was reportedly at last night's game between Little Falls and Brainerd, which Brainerd ended up winning 5-4.

Steve Kampfer of Michigan is injured so Tim Cook will fall back to defense.

Northern Michigan got commitments from three new recruits yesterday. Matt Wellens has info on all three. I think Cherniwchan in particular should be a very nice player.

The USHL released the rosters for their All-Star game. By my count, almost three-quarters of the players selected will be attending schools in either the CCHA or WCHA.

Waterloo defenseman Blake Kessel committed to New Hampshire, so he'll be near his brother Phil. Cedar Rapids forward Aaron Bogosian committed to St. Lawrence.
