Elijah Harris burst onto the scene over a year ago with his excellent play in Massachusetts high school hockey's Super 8 Tournament and then again with impressive performances at the Beantown Classic and at the USA Hockey Select Festival.
Many of doubted the Haverhill, Mass. native because of his lack of size, but the agile and quick goaltender always seems to make the necessary save, especially in high-pressure situations.
The former Austin Prep goaltender, a '97, works with North Andover-based goaltending guru Brian Daccord to hone his skills. Harris is a student of the game who really works hard on perfecting his craft.
Brendan Whittet and his staff got a terrific young goaltender who should continue to develop and be an impact at the collegiate level. Harris will forgo his senior season at Austin Prep and transfer to Kimball Union Academy where he will play for former Maine head coach Tim Whitehead.
