Princeton head coach Ron Fogarty calls out player decommitting on Twitter

+

The Gentleman's Agrement, or lack of it, has been a hot topic the past few years as more and more schools stop abiding. Lately recruiting hasn't ended until he's on campus instead of schools backing off once a player makes a verbal commitment.

Josh Melnnick was committed to Princeton for this fall - at least until Tuesday. Melnick, a forward for Youngstown (USHL), apparently decommitted from the Tigers. Head coach Ron Fogarty was obviously not happy and took to Twitter to call him and an unnamed school that kept recruiting Melnick after he had committed, hashtag #integritygone and all.

Princeton players don't sign NLIs as an Ivy League school. Maybe the next time a player decommits from a verbal commitment he will remember that shade can be thrown their way.

Update: Fogarty deleted the original tweet, but here's a screen shot.
