According to a release sent out by the University, "The Hockey City Classic jerseys will feature the retro block "M" logo, worn by Michigan Hockey for the first time in program history. The jerseys will feature striped sleeves, similar to jerseys worn by the Wolverines from 1939-1945."
Wolverines captain Andrew Copp (Winnipeg Jets) and alternates Zach Hyman (Florida Panthers) and JT Compher (Buffalo Sabres) helped with the design.
Michigan will play Michigan State in the third annual Hockey City Classic. The game is part of a doubleheader at Soldier Field in Chicago with Miami and Western Michigan making up the other half.
