The ECAC Hockey playoff picture didn't become clear until late Saturday night with much of the seeding still in doubt heading into the final night of the regular season.
For the third time in four seasons Union College captured the Cleary Cup as the regular season champion of the ECAC Hockey. The Dutchmen will be the No. 1 seed, followed by Colgate, Quinnipiac and Cornell, all four of whom will have a bye in the first round.
The first round and quarterfinals are best-of-three series while the semifinals and championship is a single elimination at the 1980 Rink at Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, NY. Both the semifinals and final will be broadcast on Fox College Sports Atlantic. Eric Frede will do the play-by-play with Cap Raeder picking up the color analysis.
