There are just two games on the docket for Sunday, as the four teams that have had a bye in the first two days of the tournament catch up to everybody else. They should be very good games though, and both will be televised on NHL Network.
Group A
United States vs. Germany 8:00pm NHL Network
Team USA comes into their second game of the tournament as the heavy favorites. Germany put together a valiant effort in their tournament opener against Canada, where they hung tight with the Canadians for two-plus periods. They'll need a similar defensive effort on Sunday night as they try to slow down a US offense that is looking to get back on track after only scoring once against Finland.
Group B
Switzerland vs. Russia 5:00pm NHL Network
This should be a great game. Russia sleep-walked through their opener against Denmark but they always have the talent to win this tournament. Switzerland, meanwhile, looked very impressive in their first game of the tournament against the Czech Republic on Saturday. The Swiss look like they have a team that could definitely compete for a medal in this year's tournament.
The winner of this game gets the inside track on finishing in the top two in this group, which could be essential, because it would mean likely avoiding the US or Canada in the quarterfinal round.
