Boston College Recruit Sonny Milano Selected 16th Overall By Columbus

Dave Reginek

Milano is the second NCAA prospect taken in the draft.

After Dylan Larkin was the first NCAA prospect taken in the 2014 NHL Draft by Detroit at 15th overall, college hockey fans didn't have to wait long for the second. Picking 16th overall, the Columbus Blue Jackets selected NTDP forward, and Boston College commit Sonny Milano.

Here is our pre-draft scouting report on Milano.

Milano's OHL rights are held by the Plymouth Whalers, and Milano did play for the Whalers director of scouting as a U16 player, but as of now, it seems unlikely that he will break his commitment to the Eagles, and the Blue Jackets aren't particularly known for pushing their prospects towards the CHL.
