St. Cloud State advanced to the Frozen Four for the first time in program history after defeating Miami 4-1 in the Midwest Regional Final in Toledo, Ohio.

Joey Benik scored his third and fourth goals of the regional to give St. Cloud a 2-0 lead. The freshman from Andover, Minn. got the Huskies on the board just 5:28 into the opening period. His second of the night came at the 5:36 mark of the second period.

Blake Coleman would cut the lead in half when he scored just under two minutes later. It was the ninth goal of the season for the sophomore from Plano, Texas.

Cory Thorson would add two insurance goals in the third period to cement the 4-1 victory for St. Cloud. The Crystal, Minn. native now has 13 goals on the season. He also picked up an assist on one of Benik's goals.
