Adam Gilmour's OT Tally Lifts Boston College
Adam Gilmour scored his first collegiate goal in overtime to push the Eagles past the Huskies. Northeastern took a 3-1 lead in the third period, but couldn't hold on. For a second straight night, Boston College scored a shorthanded goal.

Scott Wilson and Adam Chapie each had a goal and an assist as UMass-Lowell defeated New Hampshire in the Hockey East opener for both teams. The River Hawks killed six of the seven UNH power plays.

BU Rallies from Three Down to Beat Providence
Friday night at Agganis Arena Boston University rallied from a 3-0 deficit to defeat Providence, 4-3. Danny O'Regan scored twice and Matt Lane potted a goal and added a helper.

Vermont Spoils Hockey East Debut for Notre Dame
Freshman Mario Puskarich scored with 1:44 to play in regulation to send Vermont past Notre Dame in the conference opener for both teams. Senior forward Chris McCarthy also scored for the Catamounts who won, 2-1.
